Portal Knights Wiki

hi iv been playing portal knights since the begining then i lost every thign and for the past 2 mo nths iv been playing ti but i noticed as im colecting weapons that the slime queen is only droping the shadow axe and not the shadow sword iv tried 478 times now and al i get are all otehr items and the shadow axe the sword seems to be missing (( from gamer phoenix outcast ))

Hello! As stated on the Slime Queen page, the queen spawned with the amulet of invocation has a seemingly different loot table to the one that spawns originally. This may be the reason for your problem Additionally, the loot tables are changed by devs with each update, and we have no way of knowing what differs aside of tests, which are time consuming to make. However, if you'd like to track down every single loot drop from 50-100 Slime Queen battles, the loot table can be updated (a 3+ digit number of battles is preferable to increase probability to get some of the items that have a 1-5% chance of getting them)

Hello TNTDragon, Some time ago you helped me with a few issues on the wiki and I wanted to ask if one of my latest changes was a violation or if someone just wanted to remove it for no reason. The item in question is the Shadow Axe. I added flavor text that is found on the item. Wake up today and that is gone as well as the weapon category (a tag i did not add) Thanks, and hope all is well.

I had a look, and someone decided to remove the flavortext without much of a reason. You can click on the username (or in this case, IP as the user was not logged in) to see who made your edit. If they're not a wiki administrator (and especially if they don't have an account) it's likely it was just a rogue edit you can undo. But don't hesitate to ask if a situation repeats multiple times on the same article!

Sorry to bother you yet again, I am sure someone would get to it sooner or later. There have been random guides popping up that offer nothing of substance compaired to guides already available that are in detail. I have been trying to tag them for deletion, but my tags are removed by the creator(ip address). Once again sorry to keep bothering you via your talk page :)

The Fuzzy Dragon

That's fine, the talk page is to grab my attention after all. I have taken care of all the pages marked for deletion, as well as sifted through some of the more recent edits to find any that should be but weren't. If I missed any, simply add the deletion tag to the page, and I'll keep a close eye over the next few days. If you need me urgently, best way to contact is via Discord. You can find me on the Portal Knights server, same username as here.

Thank you for all your work on the wiki! TNTDragon (talk) 20:43, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

UCX implementation[]

Hi! I’m Héctor, one of the Fandom Community Managers. I’m here to talk with you about the upcoming changes we will experiment on the wikis when the new UCX will be released. As a result, we’ll have to adapt the current content - mainly the design and implemented code - to ensure they’re compatible and operational.

Specifically talking, the UCX will mainly affect the Frontpage, the design (logo, background, favicon, themes), the CSS/JS used and some templates that should adapt their look to it. While the wiki will still be migrated some weeks later, I’m here to work alongside you to anticipate all the work regarding review, improvements and adaptation to the new skin.

If you agree, I’ll start soon, reviewing the mentioned elements and describing to you what work should be done. For the case of the design, I can work with the future version, that will be working once the wiki will be migrated. Regarding the frontpage, templates and the code, I can work and implement the changes now, to have them properly working both in the present and the future, but having all the changes done in advance.

Let me know if you have any comments about it and we can explore together the upcoming changes. Thanks! --CuBaN VeRcEttI (Contact) 17:43, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for contacting and sorry for the long response time! I have been removed as the Wiki Guardian here (I have drifted away from the game, and swarmed with other projects), but because it was a rather sudden thing I was not able to point out someone to replace me, so the only Wiki Guardian (and admin) on the site is this person, who hasn't been active in 4 years, so I'm not sure if you'll get a response out of them.
As to answer the inquiry, I would've personally went through with attempting to update the themes and stuff to fit UCX, however given I can't even edit the main page at the current time, I don't think I have the permission to approve anything. The only person with administrative power other than the inactive guardian would be The Wiki Manager, so you may need to talk with him about all this. TNTDragon (talk) 08:34, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi again! There's no problem at all regarding the delay. About the latter, I'm actually helping the Wiki Manager, who is busy because the amount of current work related with UCX. So, in other words, I think I can simply proceed with the adaptation. Thanks for the reply! --CuBaN VeRcEttI (Contact) 12:02, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

Opt-in release[]

Hello again! As we have announced in our new blog, the opt-in exploration is available to you now! You can basically take a look at the main areas of the wiki, but as I explained the main things you should keep into account are the frontpage, the tables and their style, and other templates like infoboxes and navboxes. All of this, always thinking about the option of switching between the light and dark theme and all the content should be readable and adapted to both at the same time. In addition, all the wikis have to create a combination of colors for the light and dark theme, using the ThemeDesigner tool, and also re-upload the logo and favicon, and optionally the background (but it will work differently as header background, so it’s up to you what we’ll do with it on your wiki).

I already adapted the content and code to be compatible with FandomDesktop (the new skin), and also created the 2 themes and re-uploaded the assets. You can perfectly make any change to the ThemeDesigner and/or the Mediawiki pages, but I really encourage you to talk with me first. I’ve been adapting it, and I put some concrete stuff (colors in the ThemeDesigner, code in the MW pages and in one page but not another) for concrete reasons (basically to have all compatible with both themes), so to be more practical I think it’s better if we discuss about any proposal/issue/preference you could find/want before make changes. Thanks for everything! --CuBaN VeRcEttI (Contact) 20:44, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
